Priority Admissions & Preference to Treatment

Notice of Priority Admissions to Substance Abuse Treatment

The Federal Department of Health and Human Services, Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, has identified certain populations that must receive priority admission to treatment when the cost of the services is covered by the Federal Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment (SAPT) Block Grant. These populations have priority status for admissions because of their impact on families and society.

Preferences of treatment will be given in the following order:

Pregnant women who inject drugs

Other pregnant women who need treatment

Others who inject drugs

Others who need treatment

Our Admissions Process

Here at Red River Healthcare, we provide treatment for individuals who are battling with addiction and substance abuse.

We want our patients to feel right at home when they are considering our services. Therefore, we strive to make every person’s experience with our team beneficial.

When someone is interested in moving forward with one of our programs, our expert admissions team will guide them through the entire rehabilitation process and answer any questions or concerns that may arise.

Steps of Patient Admission

We understand that the stages of this process can feel overwhelming. Because of this, our staff is ready to enlighten and support you every step of the way.

Step 1: The first step in our admissions process is to arrange a phone call with one of our caring admissions team members where we ensure all shared information remains strictly confidential.

Step 2: In order to better understand and evaluate each incoming patient, our skilled professionals will ask questions such as, the person’s history of alcohol or substance abuse, insurance information, medical history, and previous treatments received.

Step 3: We ask these questions to further assess and breakdown how our treatment programs can best help each individual patient. When the evaluation phase is complete, we further discuss the patient’s financial situation and the patient’s insurance provider.

Step 4: Once these steps are finished, we set up an appointment to discuss which of our four facilities is best suited for the patient.

*Red River Healthcare welcomes everyone ages 18 and older.

Red River Healthcare composes our admissions process in this fashion because we are focused on what our patient’s need to recover in a safe environment. We understand not every patient’s needs will be the same and not every addiction can be treated with the same approach.
